Testimonies
“I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name”
[Isaiah 45:3]

ecently I went to visit a small band of believers, those coming together to praise the Lord and listen to His Word. What an amazing moment when Jesus moved among us, tears were flowing and testimony given. There was one particular lady who the Lord greatly blessed—the glory of the Lord was shining from her face as she spoke these words. “As the message was spoken a vision, like the fiery light of glory sparkled around me – a dark trail of something like black smoke began flowing out from within me leaving me with the knowledge that the wounds of bad and painful memories were healed and I was free! By mid-day 7 people had given their hearts to Jesus and others had been mightily touched by His healing presence in prayer. Pastor Larry Kelley shared that approximately 250 people attended 150 received boxes of food or had been fed and school supplies were provided for the children. This is the power and privilege of partnership in Kingdom expansion. Thank you for praying for the people whose hearts have been prepared to receive the message of Jesus...the gospel was shared and 912 of those who came to listen to the story … received the free gift of salvation! As I am sharing, I notice an elderly man approach our audience to listen and he is walking hunched over with a stick. This man who approached the platform using his stick to walk appears to be in pain and the Lord puts it on my heart to offer prayer to him individually. I approach him wanting to pray for him, and offered my hand to take his. He did not take it. I offered my hand to him again...this time asking him in gentle pursuit of his trust...to take my hand so I could pray for him. He did not take my hand. The Lord led me into prayer for him anyway...for general blessing...and as I am praying for him, I placed my hand on top of his head (not knowing how he would receive it, but felt the Lord leading me to do this and trusting it would be ok)...prayers for his healing and pain to be removed from him were made in Jesus name. I looked to the man after and said goodbye to him and just smiled. I then met up with my team who had gone on to pray for others and we continued down the village street...praying for needs as the people requested. After a moment in time, I looked back towards the Elder's Square and the man with the stick is walking towards our crowd...Straight up and not relying on his stick to walk! I asked Paul, our pastor translator to approach the man and ask him if he is in any pain. Paul walks up to the man and asks him the question. The man says he has no pain! The man then comes up to me...and this time he reaches out to ask me for my hand and he is smiling!
Revival fire on the mountain---we were joining the efforts of others to feed the poor, provide school supplies for children and share the gospel of Jesus Christ at the Talking Rock Baptist Church.
