What in the World is Going On?
“We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains
of childbirth right up to the present time” [Romans 8:22]
The whole earth is proving itself uncontainable and uncontrollable, an unbridled force in the world—in short the earth is destroying itself. Catastrophic upheaval staggers man’s ability to know what to do next. Earthquakes, volcanoes, eruptions from deep within the sea. These are the signs spoken of in the Word of God, they are the birth pangs predetermined by the Creator of the universe.
Man’s ability to reason his way through the trauma continually ‘breaks down’ as every system known to man becomes defunct. Have you noticed that high sounding intellectual solutions crumble as complex problems bring man to his knees as he hunts for simple solutions.
Meanwhile the corruption sown in the belly of the earth brings forth its own demise—much like the corruption of man’s heart—nothing good comes from evil. Measure the destruction of earth caused by corruption within the earth itself to the corruption boiling over in every arena known to man, they clearly mirror each other.
“For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God” [Romans 8:20-21]
When Dickens said, ‘these are the best of times and the worst of times’ his words only began to open the way for reason to begin its struggle toward failure and in man’s desperate search for meaning expose a truth that even the creation is caught in the vortex of total loss of control.
How else would you explain the total absurdity of the daily verbiage that flies around the globe in hopes that ‘something will make sense’. Like Jonah of old who was finally exposed as the supreme target of storm tossed sea—creation awaits the manifestation of the sons of God. Who are these sons of God? “…those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God” [Romans 8:14]
It is not reason that will give the answer, establish peace or ignite hope in the hearts of man, struggling for existence in a creation heaving in revolt. It was not reason that hung on a Cross in order for mankind to receive deliverance from a creation conceived in corruption—neither was it reason that made a cripple man walk or impotent limbs suddenly spring to life. It was not reason that accepts that a little common mud and spittle would cause a blind man to see. It’s not reason that opens man’s heart or mind to accept something far more powerful and greater than self. Only revelation makes all things possible, all things plausible and all things present to man’s mind and ability to comprehend.
The same God that causes the corrupted heart to be birthed anew and bring forth a ‘new creation’ is the same God that is birthing an incorruptible earth. “But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness” [1 Peter 3:13]
It is inevitable for the sons of God– those who walk in the Spirit—those who walk by faith in The Son of Almighty God will be exposed for who they are—a glorious generation that has persevered and grown in the Grace and Knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Nothing will harness what has been loosed in the earth but from it shall rise a people known as the sons of the Living God whose reasoning has been transformed—they live by revelation.

If you have read this and do not know Jesus do not move away from this moment, whisper a prayer of awareness of your need of a Savior and the acceptance the One who created you, knows you and loves you enough to die for you. “If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” [Romans 10:9]
